Getting to know the term and the need of eco design
Recognizing the basic principles and phases of eco design (for example, resources frame – manufacturing – design – consumer)
Develop a discussion about the impact of certain products on the environment

Instructions:
For the educator:
Introductory part:
- Starting with introduction for the topic, with emphasis on the need of eco design, as
well as recognizing the basic principles and phases of eco design, through sharing of a
PPT in attachment. There is a discussion in order to present to the users an eco-designed
product. - Then, for better capturing of the meaning of the theoretical learning, the educator
shares a video.
Description of the activity:
- The educator presents cards with products and then separates the participants in groups. For each of the products, the participants should think, and then insert them to a table with the following points: positive and negative influence on the environment, as well as possibilities for improvement.
- After finishing the task, the educator shows the back side of the cards, and this side contains the products’ facts.
For the user/ interested participants:
- Read the presentation and additional get information of the useful links, provided below.
- Look at the video given also as part of the presentation.
- Browse through the suggested products, think about their influence on the environment and insert them in the table/chart.
